As a Director

Rob is the music director of Legacy, an auditioned community youth a cappella group made up of singers aged 13-18 from all over the greater Los Angeles area! Founded in 2016, the group has received numerous awards and accolades, including:

  • Winners of the Varsity Vocals International Championship of High School A Cappella finals, 2018.

  • LAAF 2017 scholastic competition champions. 

  • Winners of the Southwest semifinal of the Varsity Vocals AcaOpen, 2017. 

  • Selected for the Best of High School A Cappella (BOHSA) compilation, 2018, 2020.


As a Clinician

Rob has presented workshops all over the world on numerous topics, including:

  • A Cappella Arranging (Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced)

  • Vocal Percussion (Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced)

  • Group Direction, and Movement as a Rehearsal Tool

  • Solo Delivery, and Connecting with an Audience

As an Educator

Rob is a co-founder of A Cappella Academy, along with Ben Bram (Pentatonix, Citizen Queen, AcaPop!) and Avi Kaplan (Pentatonix).

He is also the co-host of the podcast “Counterpoint” along with Sing-Off and Pitch Perfect producer, Deke Sharon.
