SSATBB a cappella

During the summer of 2019, I attended a series of weddings that featured readings of Justice Anthony Kennedy's opinion in the case of Obergefell v. Hodges - the ruling that established that same-sex couples have a Constitutional right to marry. Each time I heard it I was struck not just by the power of the words themselves, but by the underlying truth that these words represent: love is love and, when justice is served, love wins. I was inspired to set a selection of Kennedy's writing to music, which ultimately became this composition!
